The Glacial Strain

The glaciers have been melting and an old unknown viral strain has been released. The infection initially spread due to contaminated food and water sources. It doesn't make someone sick immediately, instead it takes time and festers in the host. The catalyst for the infection to take over is death. The host can continue life without ever knowing that they've been infected.Government response has been to quarantine an area, to try and contain it. Any questions asked towards the government's have been met with disregard. Because of this, some survivors of these outbreaks have answered a call to respond to the outbreaks and help as many people as they can.
